PEAR JELLO SALAD

1 large package (6 oz) gelatin (I prefer raspberry, cherry or lime but any flavor is fine)
1 large can (29 oz) pears
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 pint (1 cup) whipping cream

Drain the pears, reserving liquid.  If necessary, add enough water to liquid to make 1 1/2 cups.  Heat combined liquids to boiling.  Add to gelatin and stir until dissolved.  Let set until slightly thickened.  While gelatin thickens, combine pears and cream cheese in blender until smooth.  Whip cream until soft peaks form.  When jello is slightly thickened, whip until frothy.  Fold in pear/cheese mixture and whipped cream.  Pour into mold, bowl or glass baking dish.  Chill until set.
