1/2 cup melted shortening 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup quick oats
1 egg, beaten 1 cup corn flakes or Rice Krispies
1 cup flour 1/2 cup coconut
1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp vanilla
Cream shortening, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Shape into balls. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with fork.
Bake at 350° for 15 - 20 minutes.
