BEST SOFT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons corn starch
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips or M&M’s or Reese’s pieces etc.

Directions:
1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 
2.  Cream butter and sugars together.   Add egg and vanilla and mix until combined. 
3.  Mix in flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.
4.  Roll dough into balls the size of a large walnut and place on baking sheet.  Bake for 8-10 minutes, until barely golden brown around the edges.  Don't let the tops brown.
5.  After removing baking sheet from oven, tap on edge of counter to settle the cookies. 
6.  Let cool, on the sheet, for five minutes.  Remove cookies from baking sheet, place on wire rack and let cool completely.
