PEACH COBBLER

 1/2 cup butter

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

4 cups peeled and sliced peaches (or two large cans, drained)


Preheat oven to 350°. Put butter in 9x13 pan and place in oven to melt butter. While butter melts, combine dry ingredients.  Add milk to dry ingredients and stir to mix well.  When butter is melted, remove pan from oven and pour batter over melted butter.  Spread fruit on top of batter.  Bake 30 - 45 minutes until fruit is soft and cobbler is lightly browned.  Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
