NEWFOUNDLAND CHRISTMAS SLUSH PUNCH

 
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 can frozen orange juice
  • 1 can frozen lemonade juice
  • 2 bananas
  • 48oz can pineapple juice
  • 7 Up or Ginger Ale

  • Boil water.  Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Boil another few minutes to make a simple syrup. Cool. Mash bananas, add lemonade, pineapple & orange juice. Add cooled simple syrup. Place mixture into large ice-cream container or tub with cover (or use smaller containers if desired.) Place in freezer overnight. To serve, remove frozen mixture from freezer a little while before serving. Scoop desired amount of slush into glass (1/4 to 1/2 cup) then add ginger ale or 7 Up to fill remainder of glass.
